Tales from the deep: swimming the Channel for Malaria No More and the Hope Foundation

I swam the English Channel this month as part of a relay team of seven girls to raise money for Malaria No More and the Hope Foundation.

Put simply, it was tough – though we were very lucky with the weather and the waves.   Apart from the physical challenge of the swim, there were the [...]

Sky Sports Breaking News…

…3 Monkeys lose a closely fought battle with Red Consultancy. The score line did not reflect the epic encounter with 3 Monkeys eventually conceding defeat 5-1. The Monkeys were missing last week’s self voted MOTM Greg Tullet with Jonny Stark also missing the game due to “networking”.

Taking an early 1-0 lead with an excellent strike [...]

3 Monkeys’ meets the mums

3 Monkey’s was thrilled to welcome Mummy bloggers Jo Beaufoix, Insomniac Mummy and Dulwich Divorcee for the agency’s first social media clinic this week.
It was a very insightful session and there were plenty of dos and don’ts! So how should folks in brand communications go about engaging with these influencers? Some of these may seem [...]

Twestival 2010

Twestival graced London last week and it was great being involved in a voluntary capacity on the night. £8,492 was raised and witnessing the passion and dedication from the team was truly inspiring.

Match Report - 3 Monkeys v Simply Red

3 Monkeys v Simply Red

Having shamefully failed to make a single match this season, I opted to take a detour on my way home from a new biz meeting to cheer the Monkey netballers on as they took on old adversaries Simply Red.

Far from being Simply Red, the name Ringer Red would have been more [...]

Operation Christmas Child

In lieu of office gifts, the Monkeys have instead opted to make up boxes of goodies for the Samaritans’ Operation Christmas Child project.
The last couple of weeks has seen [...]

In which Cheeky proves to be a sight for sauna eyes…

It is a curious sight - more than 30 suppliers from the world of PR penned in by Velcro friendly exhibition stands eagerly waiting to show off their wares to as many in-house communications managers as they can.
Having just returned from the latest PR Week Forum, I tried to explain to my fellow primates back [...]

Silly Season…where are you?

Whatever happened to the PR fun-fest of August?  The annual month long hoopla, where newspapers were crammed with irreverent and half-baked stories, was a PR gift and one of the highlights of my media year.  Desperate for ‘news’ to keep the pages full whilst most of the country was off sunning itself on holiday and [...]

Having your cake and eating it…

My mother always told me that one good turn leads to another. And the other morning I found out that she couldn’t have been more right.  Bleary eyed and in need of my morning caffeine fix, I emerged out of Tottenham Court Road tube station to behold a glorious sight - a hunky topless man [...]

Monkeys get muddy at Farmfest

Our natural habitat may be the PR jungle, but never let it be said that we monkeys don’t occasionally like to get down and dirty on the farm. So it was that, spurned on by Canny Monkey’s ‘programme of summer fun’, last weekend saw 5 of the monkeys pitching up tent in Somerset at what [...]
